Pear Deck is an educational technology company based in Iowa City that helps teachers deliver powerful learning moments to students every day. We partnered with the edtech company looking for data-informed strategies for identifying and building principles of anti-racism into their culture and technologies.

We designed and implemented a baseline audit focused on leveraging mixed methods research to identify the company’s baseline for tackling racism and racial inequity as a company.

We led executive coaching sessions with one of the company’s co-founders and HR directors throughout a 4-month audit process and completed the process with an in-depth report outlining company challenges, opportunities, and detailed strategies for laying the groundwork for the company’s racial equity and anti-oppression work.
